Pregnancy
As a pregnant woman you are offered three preventive prenatal check-ups conducted by us at the medical clinic. In addition all pregnant women are offered two ultrasound scans: one between weeks 11–13 and another between weeks 20–22. You are also offered a postnatal check-up with us eight weeks after giving birth. All examinations are free of charge.
Dietary supplements during pregnancy
A calcium supplement: 500 mg daily is recommended throughout the pregnancy but onyl if you do not consume dairy products,
Folic acid: 400 micrograms daily, starting from when you begin planning the pregnancy and continuing through week 12.
Iron supplement: 40–50 mg daily, starting from week 10 and continuing for the remainder of the pregnancy.
Vitamin D supplement: 10 micrograms (400 IU) daily throughout the pregnancy.
Booking appointments for examinations at the medical center and elsewhere:
Examination at weeks 6–10: Call us between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM to book an appointment.
You will receive a form in the "Min Læge" app once we have scheduled your appointment.
The form must be completed prior to your appointment at the clinic.
Remember to download the "Min Graviditet" app to your mobile phone. From week 6+2, you can book an appointment for a first-trimester scan at the hospital via the "Min SP" app or at www.minsundhedsplatform.dk.

Vaccinations offered to pregnant women in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters:
RSV vaccination during the week 32 check-up at the medical clinic (except in February, March and April).
Whooping cough vaccination during the week 25 check-up at the medical clinic.
Influenza vaccination (from 1 October to 1 January at a vaccination center via www.vacciner.dk).
